Why did I not get paid commission on my Booking/Cruise/Hotel/Auto rental?

  • Did you book at a commissionable rate by paying the gross amount? Vendors will not pay out commission if net was paid. As an Independent travel agent for InteleTravel.com, you are required to pay gross on every booking and net rates are prohibited.

  • Did you mistakenly quote or provide Agency Copy documents to your travelers? The only documents you should be providing your Travelers should be GUEST COPIES ONLY!  The Agency copy is for your eyes only and discloses sensitive information.

  • Did you register your booking in the back office? We can’t pay you if we don’t know who you are or what you booked.  Please take the time to register your bookings as soon as possible.

  • Did you or your guest booked directly? Did you provide our IATA/CLIA number? Booking directly/consumer bookings are not commissionable.  Also if you do not provide our Agency credentials at the time of booking there is no way the vendor can make the connection that you are a travel agent or to pay commission.

  • Did your guest cancel or was a no show? Unless you have protected commission, you will not receive commission typically on cancels or no shows.

  • Why did I not receive commission on all the cabins in my Group?
    • Carnival and Royal Caribbean Group commission is paid in one sum, you only need to register the group number, not each individual cabins in your back office. If you registered all of the cabins in the group, those bookings will not be paid since it’s already been paid under the group number and should be inactivated.

  • What percentage are Tour Credits paid?
    • Unused Tour Credits received from the vendor are paid by InteleTravel to the agent at 100%

  • What if I want to use my Tour Credit towards a cabin?
    • Cruise lines will not pay commission on cabins where Tour Credits are used. By accepting this option please keep in mind you are forfeiting the commission you would of otherwise earned from the Vendor for the cabin and you may also owe InteleTravel for any lost portion of commission (30%). The financial benefit is greater to the booking agent when the TC credit is not used since unused tour credits received from the vendor are paid by InteleTravel to the agent at 100%.

  • Why does my Commission amount change in my back office?
    • Vendors may send commission in multiple payments, up until after the date of travel. Do not be concerned if your commission amounts change, the payments will accumulate as they are posted by InteleTravel and will reconcile by the time it is ready to get paid out.

  • Other factors that can impact a change in commission includes but is not limited to; cancellations, no shows, charge backs, upgrades, commission recalls, or any other changes made to the booking after it was created.
